Meet Matt

A fourth-generation real estate professional, Matt Spanburg has this business in his blood. Coming from a long line of agents, developers, and builders and long-exposed to construction sites, open houses, negotiations, and closings, Matt possesses an organic understanding of real estate and its complexities like few people do. Since becoming an agent and pouring his wealth of knowledge into his career, Matt has ranked in the top 10 highest-producing Florida agents and the top 10 highest-converting Florida agents at his previous brokerage, and he earned local recognition for being in the top 1% of agents in North Florida.

 

Originally from Florida, Matt partly grew up in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, where his family oversaw many real estate developments. He happily returned to the Sunshine State to attend Flagler College in St. Augustine, from which he graduated with a major in business and a minor in marketing. Even during his studies, Matt knew he wanted to continue his family’s real estate legacy, and he made it a reality in 2015 when he earned his license. After breaking professional ground at a traditional brokerage, he migrated to a contemporary one and learned about online lead conversions and other forward-focused tools that better prepared him to make inroads in this evolving industry.

 

Since establishing himself in this business, Matt has primarily carved out three niche clients: those purchasing and turning luxury homes into vacation rentals, those relocating from the north, and property investors. He thrives on helping people ride the purchase and sale rollercoaster — no matter how emotional the twists and turns! — and placing them on that first steppingstone toward building generational wealth. But no matter how many homes his clients have bought or sold, they benefit from Matt’s multifaceted skill set.

 

Matt hasn’t left St. Augustine since settling here to attend college and realizing there’s no better place to call home than this historic city. When he isn’t helping his clients achieve their real estate goals, he loves spending time outdoors, enjoying everything from surfing and hiking to fishing, golfing, traveling, or just sitting at the beach with friends. Matt’s frequent companion on his excursions is his best friend — his German shepherd, Ollie — who is even featured in some of Matt’s marketing!
